Family-owned seafood processor recruiting its first independent director as it professionalises governance.

I · The seat

Nordhav Foods runs processing sites in Alesund and Bodo and exports to twelve markets. The third-generation owners are separating ownership from management and want an independent director who understands traceability, certification and the realities of a cold chain.

II · Responsibilities

  1. II.1Bring independent challenge to a family-dominated board
  2. II.2Oversee supply chain risk and certification compliance
  3. II.3Support the transition to non-family executive leadership
  4. II.4Visit processing sites twice a year

III · Ideal profile

  1. III.1Senior operations or supply chain leadership in food
  2. III.2Experience with family business governance transitions
  3. III.3Understanding of ASC/MSC certification regimes
  4. III.4Scandinavian language ability strongly preferred
